I'm writing to you today to express my and my family's sincere appreciation for the great job that was done on my mother's house in Gilbertville. Everyone that was sent to the site did a truly outstanding job.

Denny and Darin were a great team, and were able to do all the things I kept coming up with, and they never complained, at least not to me. They are gifted carpenters and craftsmen, and fantastic representatives of your Company. DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY!!

That brings us to David Holien. He came to Mom's house on the day of the fire and gave us a boost of confidence that was sorely needed. His compassion for Mom's situation never waned, and it was apparent to us that he really cared that Mom would have her house back, in better shape than it was before. He called Mom "Mom" from the first day and that helped her feel at ease with him. His sense of humor...well let's just say it grows on ya, O.K.? Actually, I can't imagine finding a better guy to put in charge of this project. Yours is a better Company with him working there, I'm sure you know that but it never hurts to hear it from someone else. Before the fire I had three brothers, I feel like I have four now, and that's not an easy thing to accomplish when your Mom is 76 years old!!

We want to take this opportunity to thank you for making “our dream come true” possible. This time last year we were just thinking about what might be possible, but we knew we had to do something. We live in a two-story farmhouse type home and had a portion of roof that had to be replaced. We had called several contractors to help “patch” it previously - some came, and some didn’t - to give an estimate on repairs. When we called you, you were very professional and completed the “patch’ in a timely fashion at the cost quoted. As time went on we knew that patching was no longer adequate and that something else had to be done. Our choice for the project seemed obvious – Magee Construction.

For the sixteen years that we have lived in our home, we always wanted to remodel to add a mudroom off the kitchen area as well as a laundry room, bathroom, and attach a garage. We met with Tom Lown and gave him our “dreams”. That was the first of several planning meetings where computer generated plans were viewed, changes implemented, and designs finalized. We appreciated Tom’s wisdom in contracting to make a successful project and his always looking out for us to help keep costs down. The construction crew was fabulous as well. Always polite and courteous, diligently working to make every detail just right. We still rave about how clean the site was every evening as the crew left. (We had heard nightmares about others’ remodeling experiences – how dirty and torn up their homes were the entire time.) The work was done on schedule as much as possible and to our pleasant surprise even a bit under budget. We even received a floral arrangement from Magee’s the day after we brought home our new baby!

We are pleased with every inch of the home improvements. We would recommend Magee Construction to anyone considering building or making improvements. Our “dream” has been even better than we had imagined. Thank you to everyone who had a part in our project. We truly appreciate you!
